After Village Administrator/Clerk, Michael Stratton gave testimony in Saturdays Electoral Board Hearing that challengers, Tracy Shaw, Josh Carter and Vicki Jenkins did not have their nominating papers bound by paperclip, his integrity was further questioned as a reliable witness. When questioned about a financial incident with his previous employer, Springfield Park District. He denied the allegations under oath. DECISION IN FAVOR OF CANDIDATES MONDAY DECEMBER 10, 2018
During the Electoral Board Hearing December 10, 2018, the Board ruled in favor of the candidates!! They will remain on the April 2, 2019 Consolidated Ballot. The Sherman Village residents will have a choice on the ballot in April!!! Below is the 25:42 minute video of the meeting.
As you can see from the photo the United Community Bank Community Center was full with people!!! News Channel 20 and Bernard Schoenburg from the SJR were in attendance.
