During the January 8, 2019 Sherman Village Board meeting Mr. Miller made comments regarding two completely different topics. However, the way the public comment meeting minutes are written they don't make a lot of sense.
Mr. John Miller spoke during the public comment period regarding the fact that the Village of Sherman stopped participating in the North County Teen Court in December 2016 and why haven't they created or started a new program for Sherman youth who find themselves in trouble with the law. Mr. Miller also inquired about the 2018 audit that Mr. Stone had inquired about at previous meetings and why the audit was so late and when would it be complete.
Remember these minutes were reviewed and approved by a seven (7) member board and no one thought these minutes needed revised to better reflect what was really said during the public comment period of the meeting!!! This is why it's so important to either attend the meetings in person or watch the videos, because taxpayers can't count on the meeting minutes to accurately give an accounting of what was said or happened.
